Kinkora Golf Course

Liqwel apartments are situated near several golf options including Kinkora Golf Course, a fantastic par 3 course, with some longer holes. It’s very family friendly and has inexpensive green fees. Nestled along historic Higginson Road, Kinkora has served the community for more than two decades — the course first opened to the public on July 1, 1990.

Kinkora features an 18-hole layout spanning roughly 3,001 yards, with a par of 56.

Its design — by course architect Gordie McKay — leans toward the “executive / par-3-style” format: many holes are shorter par-3s, but there are a few longer ones (some up to ~275 yards), which adds a bit of variety and challenge for golfers who like mixing things up.

The fairways at Kinkora are relatively wide and forgiving, making the course approachable for beginners, casual players, or families.

While there may not be extensive amenities like a big driving range or fancy clubhouse (some listings even note limited pro-shop or buggy services), this laid-back vibe works in Kinkora’s favour — the pace is relaxed, the pressure is low, and the cost is modest.

Whether you’re looking for a quick, friendly game, a low-key round with friends, or a gentle introduction for new golfers, Kinkora Golf Course offers exactly that: simple, unpretentious, and welcoming. It’s a good reminder that you don’t need grandiosity or bells and whistles to enjoy a solid day on the links.
